Many students at Saint John School go on a vacation during their spring or summer break, and their families often choose to go to a tropical, mountain, or a desert for their getaway.

Even though the community is already close to the ocean, a survey of students found that 45 percent would choose a tropical vacation. A trip to the mountains was the second choice, favored by 38 percent of students. Only about 17 percent wanted to go to the desert.

“Mountains,” said Lily Goncalves, “because of the snow you could experience.”

Luca Savant from Mrs. Debbie Quinn’s fourth-grade class said, “I would want to go to the desert because in the mountains you can get lost.”

Mrs. Quinn said, “I would go to the mountains because we live by the beach.”
